Your Scottish Wedding Ceremony
I offer and facilitate unique, co-created, personal, and participatory ceremonies for weddings, and all other life events. I am a OneSpirit Interfaith Minister, based in Edinburgh, Scotland, and I look forward to working with you whatever your spiritual beliefs — if any — or background.
I believe in the power of community and the earth to support and nourish us with love on our journeys through life. I aspire to follow the leadings of love and truth to joyful action in the world.

Joinings
If you decide you want to celebrate and formalise your relationship in any way I can help you design a wedding or civil partnership ceremony – for couples of all genders. I also work with couples who wish to renew their vows.
As a One Spirit Minister I have authority to carry out the legal aspect of weddings and civil partnerships in Scotland. I will talk you through what you need to do in terms of formalities.
Working with Chris as our wedding celebrant was an absolute joy and he made us feel at ease throughout the whole process. Together we curated a ceremony and vows that were completely unique and special to us, and we will cherish these memories forever.

The process
As a celebrant I will work with you to custom-design your ceremony to meet your needs and reflect your values and understanding of the world. Some ceremonies may be large and elaborate, others are small and intimate, and all can be beautiful.
Typically the first step would be a free initial meeting to discuss what you have in mind. I will share some initial ideas and we will both get a feel for whether we can work well together. This meeting could be in person or online depending on where you live.
If we agree to work together, I would send you some questions and invite you to take some time to consider these to explore and clarify your wishes such as: why do you want this ceremony, what does it mean to you?
Chris was an absolutely amazing celebrant and official for our elopement! He made the ceremony great and had an amazing energy about him that made our day that much more special. He was extremely easy to communicate with by email and zoom and he got us everything we needed for our big day. It was an absolute honor and pleasure to work with him he was fantastic and we’ll cherish the memory for years to come.

We will then begin co-creating the ceremony based on your responses. I will help you to think creatively and imaginatively to design a ceremony that truly reflects you and your values. I will help you to tease out what you might like to include in terms of poems, readings, music, symbols etc and will be happy to make suggestions. Once we have an agreed outline, I will write this up as a draft of the ceremony and invite your comments and feedback.
We will be in regular contact in the lead up to the day of the ceremony – I aim to be alongside you as you approach this important moment and on the day itself.
On the day I will create and hold a sacred space to enable deep loving connection with family, friends and the wider earth around us and will guide you through the ceremony.
Sustainability
There is such a large wedding industry now and it feels important to me to get beyond this and to touch into the essence of love and connection between the couple. There can also be a huge weight of expectation around weddings – I hope to be able to support you to lay this to one side and to explore what truly matters to you. You can do almost anything at a wedding and my job is to help you find out what is authentic and meaningful for you. Here are some thoughts about how you might create a more sustainable wedding.
Chris was a fantastic celebrant! He was so supportive, guiding us through creating a personal ceremony that reflected us and the wedding we wanted. He brought ideas for the ceremony and supported us writing our vows. On the day, he helped to create a perfect, relaxed, loving and inclusive ceremony.
